Adult Hockey IQ & Game Situations – Read, React & Play Smarter

Our Hockey IQ & Game Situations Course is a 7-week program designed for players who want to move beyond just skills and start understanding how the game is actually played. You’ll learn how to read plays, make better decisions, and execute with confidence in real game situations.

Players register as either forward or defence, as many drills are position-specific. The program can also be taken again in the other position for a different experience.

Hockey IQ & Game Situations is best suited for players who:

Are comfortable skating at a steady pace without needing to think about basic movement
Can handle the puck with control while moving
Can make passes and receive passes while in motion
Understand basic positioning from playing shinny or games
Have outgrown our Tier 3 shinnies and are comfortable playing in our Tier 2 shinnies or similar level

If skating, puck control, or passing still require a lot of focus, we strongly recommend completing Powerskating 2.0 and Shooting & Puck Handling first. Players who build that foundation tend to get much more out of this program.
