Scott Felnermayr
Scott Fellnermayr began his coaching career in 2017 as the video coach for the NAIT Men’s Hockey team under Head Coach Tim Fragle and Assistant Coach Shawn Belle. Over the years, he progressed through the coaching ranks, spending two seasons as a video coach, one season as an assistant coach, and most recently serving as interim head coach.
Before transitioning into coaching, Fellnermayr was a standout player for the NAIT Ooks, competing for four seasons (2012/13 – 2015/16) and playing a key role in three ACAC Championship-winning teams (2012/13, 2014/15, 2015/16). During his time at NAIT, he also earned a business management degree before moving on to play professionally with the Huntsville Havoc of the SPHL.
In addition to his work with NAIT, Scott is an on-ice skills coach with CK Hockey, training youth players (ages 5-17) in skating, puck handling, and game awareness.
As part of Shinny of Champions, Scott leads our skills development and power skating programs, helping players refine their skating mechanics, improve puck control, and build confidence on the ice. His structured, fundamentals-first approach ensures that beginners and adult players alike receive high-quality instruction in a supportive and engaging environment.
