Adult Intermediate Power Skating Edmonton (Powerskating 2.0) – Speed, Pressure & Combination Skills

Our Power Skating 2.0 Course is a 7-week program designed for players who have already built a solid foundation and are ready to level up. You can expect similar skating skills to Power Skating 1.0 — but done faster, with more intensity, and in combination with multiple skills in each drill.

Power Skating 2.0 is best suited for players who can already do most of the following:

  • Glide comfortably in a solid hockey stance without feeling off balance
  • Generate a full (or nearly full) forward stride while staying balanced on the power leg — not just shuffling down the ice
  • Execute moderate tight turns and get onto the outside edge
  • Perform forward crossovers with control
  • Skate backwards with basic control (it doesn’t have to be pretty)
  • Pivot from forward to backward and backward to forward without completely losing momentum

If several of these still feel inconsistent or require a lot of concentration, repeating Power Skating 1.0 is often the better choice. Many players find that a second run through 1.0 dramatically improves confidence, balance, and efficiency — making 2.0 far more enjoyable.

  • Session 1: C-cuts, Wide-Track Skating, Anchored Edge Control, Quick Starts, Powerful Forward Stride
